How does DC Compressor achieve stepless speed regulation compared with traditional AC compressors?

Publish Time: 2025-04-03
There are significant differences between DC Compressor and traditional AC compressors in terms of frequency stepless speed regulation.

DC Compressor

Technical principle: DC Compressor adopts advanced DC frequency conversion technology to achieve stepless speed regulation of the compressor by changing the power supply frequency. The compressor stator generates a rotating magnetic field that directly interacts with the permanent magnetic field of the rotor to realize the operation of the compressor. The speed of the motor can be changed by changing the DC voltage sent to the motor.

Stepless speed regulation characteristics: DC Compressor has the characteristics of rapid response and wide speed regulation range, and can achieve optimal matching under different cooling needs. Since there is no inverter link, DC frequency conversion air conditioners are more energy-saving than AC frequency conversion in this regard.

Efficiency and noise: DC Compressor efficiency is 10%~30% higher than AC frequency conversion compressors, and the noise is 5dB~10dB lower.

Traditional AC compressor

Technical principle: Traditional AC compressor drives the compressor body to operate after AC current passes through the motor. AC frequency conversion technology is a technology that changes the speed of the compressor by changing the power frequency through the inverter. First, the AC to DC conversion is performed, and then the DC to AC conversion is performed through the inverter to control the speed of the AC motor.

Speed regulation method: Traditional AC compressors usually do not have stepless speed regulation function, and their speed is often limited by the power frequency, so it is difficult to achieve precise speed control. Although AC variable frequency compressors can achieve speed regulation through inverters, their speed regulation range and response speed are relatively limited.

Efficiency and noise: Although AC variable frequency compressors have improved efficiency and noise compared to fixed frequency compressors, there is still a certain gap compared to DC compressors.

DC compressors achieve stepless speed regulation through advanced DC frequency conversion technology, and have the advantages of wide speed regulation range, rapid response, high efficiency and energy saving, and low noise. Traditional AC compressors are limited by power frequency and speed regulation technology, usually do not have stepless speed regulation function, and their efficiency and noise control are relatively poor. Therefore, DC compressors have more advantages in occasions where precise speed regulation and high performance requirements are required.
